The painting is dedicated to a young, talented, sensitive writer with whom I feel an artist connection—despite not having been so close to him when he was alive.

Scattered in his room, these were personal notes he looked to for inspiration and reminders. I do the same thing also, and I know many others do as well. In this journey, written words are important, as they stand as symbols for moments we felt connected to our truths.
