About The Artist

Aisyle Deriquito is an artist based in Maryland. She received her BFA at George Mason University in 2019.

My personal work is reflective of the memories and the identities I carry with me. At a young age, I had a fixation with keeping journals and memorabilia that held moments in place (in some ways, I still do).

The subject matter in my work symbolizes and pays homage to these stories in a sequence of themes. Often stemming from my identity as a first-gen immigrant and as a creative soul.

Through storytelling, I can enter a space of reflection and share with viewers what I visualize through introspection.
